Rose of Sharon: Homes of Hope

Picture

The children at Rose of Sharon come from the lowest layer of the society and poorest regions of the country. Most of them are from native tribal communities in Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. They were never used to schooling and initially exhibited strange tribal community behaviours. Now they are disciplined and have learned to adapt to cross-cultural situations and conventional life styles. All of them go to good schools nearby according to their regional language (Tamil and Telugu). A residential lady warden work along with other lady workers to care for them. Tutors who visit in the evening help them in their academics.

We hope and work towards a day when they become independent, having their own families and becoming a blessing for people around them.
